Mnoty Press
Mnoty Press is our main publication branch. This is for book length essays, poetry collections, essay collections, and possibly a work or two of historical fiction and autobiography. The goal of Mnoty Press is to provide room for non-conformist scholarship that might not really fit in with the university publishing houses, and as such, is intended to compliment the production of such houses by facilitating alternative voices; thereby expanding the discourse.
The work we publish here is always intended to fit within the larger project of Acut Fitzgerald Publishing House by helping publish arguments that stand against tyranny. We strongly hold that people need justice in order to rise above the cycles of violence that threaten to destroy humanity, and that more colonialism, fascism, slavery, conscription, and other forms of oppression stand in the way of us building a more just society.
Essay on Mining Politics in Indonesia (€1)
- Environmentalism and Political Economy of Mining in Indonesia by Kevin Patrick Fitzgerald (July, 2025)
Published by Mnoty Press – Acut Fitzgerald Publishing House (11 August 2026).
I'm mostly focused on who controls what mines in Indonesia today, and how that might give us clues as to how we can start putting together international institutions that can regulate mining practices.
Free Essay on Russian Metal Music
- Russian Metal as Russian Literature by Kevin Patrick Fitzgerald (03 July 2025) Publlished by Mnoty Press – Acut Fitzgerald Publishing House (11 August 2026).
A brief essay about the similar situation and approach of Russian authors in the early twentieth century and Russian metal bands in the early twenty first century. I discuss the similar use of metaphor in making cultural criticism deemed taboo by official authorities.
Free essay on Peacebuilding in Medieval Southwest Asia
- Jihad, Crusade, and Peacebuilding in the Middle Ages by Kevin Patrick Fitzgerald. (27 April 2025) Published by Mnoty Press; Acut Fitzgerald Publishing House, (09 August 2026)
I consider here the siege of Jerusalem by the Crusaders in 1099 in the context of how previous sieges in the region had taken place. The Crusaders were especially violent and cruel, especially compared with the Jihadists of previous centuries who brought about a largely peaceful regime where different religious communities were able to live and work together in peace.
Saints in Buddhist, Christian, and Muslim Traditions:
a book of poems
This book is a collection of poems dedicated to saintly figures in three of humanity's most popular faiths. They are historically based, with a little leeway, and intended, in the hagiographic tradition, to demonstrate virtue. The collection is the first of a planned series on interfaith hagiography, which is intended to help build community around ethical appreciation between different communities of faith. It is available in pdf format here for 5 Euros.
Globalized Fascism (1995-2026)
Coming soon. This book is about the rise of globalized fascism from the neoliberal project that started with Bill Clinton's championing and implementation of the World Trade Organization. The WTO is gone, yet it iserved its purpose of deregulating and privatizing enough countries so as to set the stage for our present global crisis in governmental corruption. The book provides a brief history of the build up to globalized fascism, and provides some ideas on how people can work against this movement and toward a more just, equitable, and peaceful global system for future generations. Available in pdf format here.
